1989, September – 1994, June – obtained higher education at the Faculty of History of Ivan Franko Lviv State University (full-time, from September 1992 – part-time; diploma with honors).

1992, September – 1994, December – archeograf of the Lviv Branch of the Institute of Ukrainian Archeography and Source Studies of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.

1995, January – 1996, July – archeograf of Category I at the Lviv Branch of the M. S. Hrushevsky Institute of Ukrainian Archeography and Source Studies of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (hereinafter referred to as Lviv IUASS NASU).

1996, May 30 – defended a dissertation for the academic degree of Candidate of Historical Sciences on the topic: "Financial Records of Lviv in the Second Quarter of the 16th Century as a Source for the Study of Historical Demography and Sociotopography" (academic supervisor: Dr. hab., Prof. Yaroslav Dashkevych), diploma of Candidate of Sciences dated May 30, 1996.

2004, February 10 – defended a dissertation for the academic degree of Doctor of Historical Sciences on the topic: "National Communities of Lviv in the 16th–18th Centuries (Socio-Legal Relations)" (monograph), Doctor of Sciences diploma dated June 9, 2004.

2013, January 25 – awarded the academic title of professor in the specialty 07.00.06 – historiography, source studies, and special historical disciplines by the decision of the Attestation Board of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.

2010, July – Chairman of the Public and Cultural Association "Yaroslav Dashkevych' Ukrainian Archeography Studies."

Since 2014 – Member of the Working Group for the preparation of city atlases of the International Commission for the History of Towns.

2014, September – Diploma of the 21st Publishers' Forum in Lviv for the best book and special award of the Small Jury "Scientific Libraries" for the "Ukrainian Historical Towns Atlas. Vol. 1: Lviv."

2015, April 12 – M. S. Hrushevsky Award from the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine for outstanding scientific works in the field of historical Ukrainian studies and sociology for 2012-2014.

2015, June 2 – Award from the Canadian Institute of Ukrainian Studies at the University of Alberta for the best work in the field of Ukrainian studies for 2012-2014.
